For nearly ten years, Russell Simmons and his wife, Kimora Lee Simmons have been the king and queen of hip-hop culture. Now the monarchy is breaking down. The couple announced today that they have split up and have been separated "for some time."
Many gossip sites predicted that the separation announcement would be made today and Kimora’s reps were the first to admit to the break up. Russell followed up later with a statement that read, "Kimora and I will remain committed parents and caring friends with great love and admiration for each other. We will also continue to work side by side on a daily basis as partners in all of our businesses." Russell admitted that, though the separation has been in effect for a while, he and Kimora have continued to share a residence.
Russell, the co-founder of Def Jam records, met Kimora when she was a 17-year-old model in 1992. They married in 1998 after a long courtship. Though Russell is often regarded as the businessman of the couple, Kimora is a success in her own right as the creator of the Baby Phat clothing line. The couple has two daughters together: Ming and Aoki.

Former Friends star Matt LeBlanc is filing for divorce from Melissa, his wife of three years. The National Enquirer has learned exclusively that the couple split up in January, soon after LeBlanc's NBC sitcom Joey was cancelled. Melissa McKinght, blame "irreconcilable differences" for the split.
In 2004, LeBLANC's former driver DAMIAN PLUMLEIGH took a story to American tabloid NATIONAL ENQUIRER and even passed a lie detector test. Plumleigh claimed he hired gay escorts for the actor.
LeBlanc insists he doesn't care what the results of a polygraph test were - Plumleigh is a liar.
The actor, who was happily married at the time, fumed, "I have never asked to be set up with gay hustlers. It's absolutely not true. I am not bisexual."
The actor's spokesman, Joe Libonati, said in a statement: "Melissa and Matt
have decided to end their marriage of three years.LeBlanc, 38, and former model Melissa "Missie" McKnight, 41, were married in a romantic beachfront ceremony in Hawaii on May 3, 2003.
The ceremony was attended by 75 guests including 'Friends' stars Jennifer
Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow. The actor met the 41-year-old in 1997 through mutual friends, 'La Bamba'
actor Lou Diamond Phillips and his wife Kelly.
At the time, a friend of the couple said: "They're really sweet together.
"He loves her and she loves him. It's very real."
"The dissolution is amicable. They remain devoted parents and friends. For
the sake of their family, they ask that their privacy be respected at this
time."
The couple have a two-year-old daughter, Marina, who suffers from a rare brain disorder, called cortical dysplasia.... and LeBlanc is stepfather to his wife's two older children from an earlier marriage, Tyler, 13, and Jacquelyn, 10.
Since 'Friends' ended, LeBlanc has been starring in spin-off show, 'Joey' -
but the series has been struggling in the ratings and has been pulled from
the schedules of US TV network, NBC.

Leonardo DiCaprio has been spotted smooching a mystery blonde.
The handsome actor, who is rumoured to be dating Lindsay Lohan, was seen
enjoying a passionate embrace with the beauty as he enjoyed a night out in
Cape Town, in South Africa, where he is shooting new movie 'The Blood
Diamond'.
A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "He picked up a woman called
Tamara, who looks like his ex Gisele Bundchen, at Café Caprice. Then they
went on to another club, Opium, and were kissing like mad.
Earlier this week, it was claimed DiCaprio and Lohan have been secretly
dating for three months.
The 'Titanic' star and the 19-year-old actress, who is 12 years younger
DiCaprio, are rumoured to have fallen in love since meeting over New Year.
A source said: "Leonardo is besotted with Lindsay. They are a perfect match.
"They wanted to keep it a secret just because it's more fun that way."

Photographs surfaced earlier this month of a not-so-slender Britney Spears romping around in a string bikini while on vacation in Maui. Many gossips assumed that the popstar’s ample bosom and bulging belly indicated that she was expecting another child. But Britney proved that theory wrong when she drank alcohol on husband Kevin Federline’s birthday last week. So Britney’s bikini shots just showed her working what the Cheetos gave her.
Apparently some patrons of the hotel where Britney stayed in Maui were not too pleased with her choice of swimwear - pregnant or not. According to the National Enquirer, a few mothers were appalled that Britney was overflowing from her bikini top in front of their children. One very bold mom even approached Spears and said, "You've got so much money, why don't you buy a bathing suit that fits you? All our kids are playing out here - and they don't need to be looking at your boobs falling out of that top!" Britney, knowing that the hotel would never reprimand her for her attire, told the mother that if she didn’t approve of her bathing suit, she could find herself another vacation spot.

Could there be hope for Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson? The couple split late last year, but are having trouble moving on, says Star magazine. Both stars are feeling their biological clocks ticking and may soon discover that the only person they want to parent children with is the other.
A source close to Nick said, "The truth is, moving on from Jessica hasn't been so easy. Nick is at the point in his life where he'd prefer to settle down, and Jessica is the only person he's ever considered having kids with. Every woman he meets, Nick winds up stacking up against Jessica."
Meanwhile, Jessica, who this week confessed to seriously considering adoption in the not-too-distant future, is also having trouble forgetting her first love. Another insider told Star, "Jess sees photos of Nick out with other women, and it's breaking her heart.��? While another source revealed, “Jessica is realizing that she and Nick never really had a fair shot. The first two years of their marriage, they were never alone. They were shooting ‘Newlyweds’ - how can you develop a deep, loving relationship in front of a camera?"
