Pop star Britney Spears will guest on an episode of US sitcom Will and Grace, NBC announced Tuesday.
The Toxic singer will appear as a Christian conservative sidekick to Sean Hayes' character, Jack, who hosts his own talk show, on the April 13 episode, the network said.
Jack's fictional network, Out TV, is bought by a Christian TV network, leading to Spears contributing a cooking segment called "Cruci-fixin's."
For her part, besides TV specials and the Britney and Kevin: Chaotic reality series costarring husband Kevin Federline that drew mixed reactions, the 24-year-old Spears is a longtime TV veteran. As a young girl she was a regular on "The Mickey Mouse Club" reports People Magazine. After becoming a pop singer, she starred in the critically panned 2002 film "Crossroads."
Last September, Spears gave birth to her first child, son Sean Preston, with husband Kevin Federline reports ABCnews.
Spears' appearance on Will and Grace follows cameo appearances by singers Jennifer Lopez and Cher and actor Michael Douglas, who played a gay policeman reports BBC news.
"Will & Grace," which also stars Eric McCormack, Debra Messing and Megan Mullally, is in its eighth and final season. It airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. (EST).

smart move on her part, not sure about it from the Will & Grace perspective though.
