Lindsay Lohan hospital update

Lindsay Lohan, 19, is being treated in hospital after suffering a "severe asthma attack."

"She is in the hospital," her publicist Leslie Sloane says.

According to , ET 's MARC MALKIN, the attack was so bad that it caused a broken blood vessel in her neck, which prompted doctors to advise the actress to seek treatment at the hospital.
Sloane said the actress was "resting comfortably" while she remained under observation and hopefully would be discharged on Wednesday reports Reuters

Sloane added that Lohan has suffered from asthma since childhood, and she believed the actress was last hospitalised from the condition "when she was little."

Lindsay's hospitalization came just days after she hosted a New Year's Eve party at the see-and-be-seen South Beach nightclub Prive reports Star Magazine.

This is not Lindsay's first hospitalization, last year, the Just my luck star revealed her dramatic weight loss left her hospitalized near death.

"I was going through a lot of stuff and overworking and not thinking of my body," she said. "I lost 20-25 pounds. I was on IV drips. I nearly died, " the star said at the time

Lohan is due to start work on her new film Chapter 27, about John Lennon's killer Mark Chapman, later this month reports People Magazine.
