Its official, Angelina Jolie is pregnant with Brad Pitt's kid!

Hollywood star Angelina Jolie is pregnant with a child fathered by her long-rumored lover, actor Brad Pitt.

Pitt's spokeswoman confirmed the news after US magazine People ran a story which quoted the actress telling a charity worker in the Dominican Republic, where she is working on a movie, "Yes, I'm pregnant."

Publicist Cindy Guagenti also confirmed reports that Pitt has filed papers to become the legal adoptive father of Jolie's two adopted children, son Maddox, 4, and daughter Zahara, who is about 10 months old.

Guagenti declined to give further details on pregnancy, including when the baby was due, or to say whether the couple had plans to marry reports Reuters

The magazine said Jolie is expecting her baby this summer. The actors have been linked since Pitt split from ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, but both have refused to speak publicly about their relationship.

Jolie, 30, and Pitt, 42, met on the set of their film Mr and Mrs Smith.

Pitt denied a relationship with Jolie was behind the break-up of his four-year marriage to Friends star Aniston.

A spokesman for Aniston said the actress would have no comment. "Jennifer is not in the practice of commenting on the lives of other people," he said.

Jolie's father, actor Jon Voigt, said: "Angie is my daughter and I am always wishing the best for her."
