Tom Cruise spoils his birthday girl

Hollywood’s most nauseating lovebirds, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, are up to their old tricks, as they proved Thursday that they are still very much “in love.�? The couple spent the day celebrating Katie’s 27th birthday (which is actually on Sunday). First Katie hit the shops, buying her own birthday presents from upscale boutiques like Ralph Lauren, Chloe and Donna Karan. Then the birthday girl and her husband to be went to the Post Steakhouse with a group of about 10 people. The Post’s bartender told People magazine, “[Tom] seems like a regular guy. He was very nice."

Tom showed just how nice he is to his girl next, when he took her and her friends to FAO Schwartz. The famous toy store had shut its doors to the public so the famous couple could shop for their new baby in peace. But these two were too excited to have a peaceful shopping experience. Instead they frolicked on the store’s oversized piano, made famous by the movie Big. Tom showed he’s still a kid at heart when he did a handstand on the keys while playing with his fiancée. According to People, “Katie must have approved: She clapped and laughed before the couple embraced and shared a long, 30-second kiss.�? To finish off the trip to the toy store, Katie enjoyed a cupcake with Tom, the candle on which they both blew out.

The celebration didn’t end there. The lovey couple ended their night at Central Park's Wollman Rink, where they ice-skated and kissed despite the bad weather. The crew finally headed home at around 12:30 am.
