The Simpsons will spend X-mas in Hawaii |

According to People magazine, it’s going to be a Hawaiian Christmas for Jessica Simpson. The magazine reports that Jessica plans to spend her first Christmas away from Nick Lachey in the island paradise. While a trip to Hawaii during the holidays would normally be a great remedy to get over a broken heart, for Jessica Simpson it seems an odd choice. Why, you ask? Miss Simpson spent the holidays in Hawaii last year as Mrs. Lachey. Nick, Jessica, sister Ashlee and Ashlee’s occasional beau, Ryan Cabrera enjoyed the Hawaiian sun in late December of 2004. The sisters did a lot of shopping and sunning during the vacation while the men played golf. You’d think the memories would be too much for a gal grieving the demise of her first marriage. Luckily, Jessica’s sister and parents will be there with her should her recollections of happier times prove overwhelming.
Jessica’s parents have been a shoulder to cry on through out the couple’s split. She is living with them for the time being while Nick stays in their Calabasas home. An insider in the Simpson camp told People that Jessica is handling her upcoming divorce pretty well. "She's doing okay. She is emotional, and as upsetting as this is, she knows she made the right decision. The fact that she filed tells you that it's going to be over. It wasn't something she took lightly." Nick seems to have the same outlook, says another source: "He was hoping for the best, but as time went by, he was prepared for what became inevitable.?
Meanwhile the couple met up last Friday to discuss the details of the split. "He came over to her parent's house,? said the Simpson source. “They spent a little time together and they said their goodbyes. Friday was an emotional day. As far as people saying it's going to get nasty, if it were, I don't think they would spend an hour and a half together like they did."
