Brad Renfro caught in heroin sting

His big break came as the child opposite Susan Sarandon in John Grisham’s The Client, now he’ll soon be a client again in real life. Actor Brad Renfro was caught by a police officer trying to be heroin in Los Angeles. He was arrested in a sting operation and booked for investigation of felony attempting to possess heroin.

"He was intending to buy real heroin from an undercover officer," a detective said. Renfro was not the only person caught in the sting, 14 other suspects were also arrested.

Brad has been in trouble with the law on numerous other occasions. In January 2001, he was given two years probation for trying to steal a yacht. He was arrested and charged with underage drinking later that year. In addition, Renfro was charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana in 1998.
