Paris Hilton eager to reconnect with Nicole Richie

Some girls bond over shared interests; others bond over shared break ups. It seems that Paris Hilton may belong to the former group. Now that they both share ex fiancés, the heiress is finally be ready to make up with her former best friend and “Simple Life� costar, Nicole Richie.

Paris initially ignored the reports that Nicole had broken her engagement with Adam Goldstein (aka DJ AM). When asked by the paparazzi what she thought of the news, footage aired on “Access Hollywood,� showed Paris saying, “I don’t know her.� But now Paris has changed her mind and decided to show some sympathy to her ex-best friend.

According to British gossip website Female First, Paris recently “got on stage at a friend's Christmas party and sent a message to Nicole.� Having recently ended her own engagement with Greek shipping heir, Paris Latsis, Hilton empathizes with Richie’s current situation. She said, “I'm really sorry to hear about Nic's engagement. I went through the same thing. With Christmas coming up, I realize I really miss her and want to get in touch again."
