Nicole Kidman may marry soon, but the marriage might not last

Nicole Kidman and her ex-husband, Tom Cruise may act as if everything is fine between them, but it turns out they’re still a bit competitive with each other. Their latest competition involves the timing of their planned weddings.

Though Cruise beat Kidman to engagement (unless you count the gossip that she was once engaged to Lenny Kravitz), Kidman seems ready to beat him down the aisle. Nicole and her rumored fiancé, Keith Urban have already begun sending out initiations to their nuptials, says Life & Style Magazine. They may even be married this weekend. Meanwhile Tom and his pregnant fiancée have a summer or fall wedding in the works.

An inside source told L&S, “Nicole’s friends in Australia have received their invitations, and the wedding’s happening this coming weekend. She wants to do it before the year is out, to have it over and done with before Tom Cruise has his big day.�

But should Nicole and Keith walk down the aisle, their marriage may wind up eerily reminiscent of their pals’ Kenny Chesney and Renee Zellweger’s. Urban’s first manager, Gary Shaw, and his ex-girlfriend Laura Sigler both confided to British newspaper, the Sun, recently that they didn’t see his romance with Nicole going very far. "Nicole and Keith might date for a while - but it won't last very long. I don't know her but I know him very well," said Sigler. While Shaw said, "I'll be very surprised if the relationship lasts. [Keith] is in it for the chase. He likes to go after what he wants and if he can't have it, he wants it even more. He would be intrigued by anything and anyone he couldn't get."
