What’s the deal with Kate Moss? Should we feel sorry for the shamed supermodel or resent her seemingly flawless comeback? In September, a British newspaper caught Moss on tape snorting lines of cocaine. In reaction to the media frenzy surrounding her drug use, many of the companies for which Moss modeled, including H&M and Chanel, either pulled or did not renew their contracts with her. The model then went on a highly publicized trip to an Arizona rehab and shortly after her stay was modeling again for Roberto Cavalli and Virgin Mobile. It seemed as though no one could keep Kate down.
But although Moss’s career is intact, her life appears to be in shambles. Her relationship with known drug addict, Pete Doherty continues to be up and down and, on top of that, she seems likely to have to relocate her life. A London native, Kate has been forced to stay in the US to avoid formal drug charges. According to Page Six, police in the UK “have already announced they want to prosecute her for possession of cocaine.? Being convicted for drug use and possession would make it impossible for Kate to do the sort of travel required by an in-demand model. An insider told London’s Daily Mail, "Although her plan has always been to return to Britain for Christmas, if work commitments mean she needs to stay in the U.S., she will."
