More on Colin Farrell in rehab

One time hottie, Colin Farrell is being treated for exhaustion and dependency on
prescription medication, his publicist said.

He reportedly went into a treatment centre after collapsing at the wrap
party of his new movie 'Miami Vice', on Sunday (11.12.05).
Farrell's Los Angeles publicist, Danica Smith, said: "Colin Farrell has
checked himself into a treatment centre for exhaustion and a dependency to
prescription medication which was prescribed to him for a back injury.
"No other comments will be made at this time."

However, PerezHilton.com has learned that Colin's checking in to rehab is not as voluntary as his publicist would like us to believe. And, it follows a recent overdose by the actor!

The incident happened on Friday in Montevideo, where Colin and crew where shooting scenes for Miami Vice, which seems to be the most interminable film shoot ever!

According to a PerezHilton source, Farrell was reportedly rushed to the emergency room and treated by doctors for an overdose, a potentially deadly combo of cocaine, marijuana and "another drug," which the doctors were unable to determine by the blood test.

A source is quoted in Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "Colin faced
his demons and decided to get clean."
The wild star is known for his love of women and partying.
Last year, he confessed to a magazine that he had even smoked heroin.
He admitted: "For some reason, it seemed pretty f*****g nice at the time.
There was nothing I wouldn't have f*****g done. Whatever was around."
