Angelina Jolie's estranged father Jon Voight has denied he is dating Diana
Ross.
Veteran actor Voight and soul singer Ross, who have both battled alcoholism,
have been romantically linked in recent weeks after arriving hand-in-hand at
a recent Hollywood tribute to Ross' 1972 movie 'Lady Sings The Blues'.
The pair have reportedly been friends for years but their friendship is said
to have now blossomed into love the two stars were set up on a date by
mutual friend Motown records founder Berry Gordy.
Now Voight - who has not spoken to his daughter Jolie for years after saying
on live TV she had "serious mental problems' - has quashed the rumours
insisting he and Ross are simply working on a new project together.
He said in a US TV interview: "We have been working on something together.
It isn't anything romantic."
However, Ross' agent Phil Symes claims the soul legend and Voight - who has
starred in a host of cult films, including 'Midnight Cowboy' and Deliverance
' - are an item but insists the pair are not in a serious relationship.
Symes said: "They have both been on dates which they enjoyed. It's still at
an early stage, certainly too early to say he is the new love of her life."
