That we know of, “Super Size Me? is not the title of a pornographic movie. It is a Morgan Spurlock documentary of the fast-food industry. Of course, we would welcome a porno release with that title.
Yet Mr. Spurlock is now working on a film adaptation of “The Republican War on Science? by Chris Mooney. The book treats of people who speak about scientific theories without having even the vaguest understanding of what a scientific theory is. “I have a theory that . . . “ is a phrase commonly heard in conversation; but ‘theory’ used that way has nothing to do with a ‘theory’ in science or humanities research.
The problem fundamentally stems from IQ deficiency in the general population. But Spurlock believes that the intellectually-challenged are people too. “I want to speak with people on both sides of the issue,? he has said. With that same commitment to inclusion, The Bosh reports on Nick and Jess, Paris and Paris, and Kenny and Renee. Not that we’re hinting that any of those people are dim bulbs! (By Scott Rose)
