Charlize Theron is set to be the next Bond girl.
The Oscar-winning beauty has reportedly been offered a lucrative deal to
star as the dashing spy's latest lady in the upcoming 'Casino Royale'.
The 30-year-old actress is said to be director Martin Campbell's first
choice to play opposite the new 007, Daniel Craig.
An insider is quoted in Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "She is
glamorous but she is also a brilliant actress. It would be quite a coup to
have an Oscar-winner as the female lead."
A source is quoted by Scotland's Daily Record newspaper as saying: "Halle
Berry made a great success of her part in 'Die Another Day' after she won
Best Actress at the Academy Awards.
"We are confident Charlize can do the same."
Earlier this year Charlize was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The stunning actress was thrilled as she unveiled the glittering star on
Hollywood Boulevard.
The South African beauty said at the time: "I had big dreams when I came
here, but this is an incredibly amazing gift - two cherries on top of the
cake."
