Everyone suspects "Newlyweds," Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson are suffering from extreme marital problems, but according to Life & Style weekly, Jessica is trying her best to fix them. And when you're a perky Southern gal, the best way to solve a problem is to have a party to cover it up. The magazine reports that Jessica hoped to throw her husband a big party for his recent 32nd birthday "show Nick how much she loves him and wants to make things work between them." For the more-reserved Nick, the party seemed like a terrible idea. "Do what you want, but leave me out of it," he said to his wife. Disappointed, Jessica scrapped her plans and, instead, put together a small affair for her hubby in his hometown of Cincinnati. Then, the following day, the couple celebrated with friends at a dinner in Los Angeles. "While the dinner wasn't a total disaster, [a] friend of Jess's says the couple continue to grow apart," reports Life & Style. A possible sign of their trouble? Neither Jessica's parents nor her sister Ashlee made it to the LA dinner.
