Lindsay contacts dad |

Everyone knows that Lindsay Lohan's relationship with her father, Michael, is strained at best. With her latest single, "Confessions of a Broken Heart," she's made it clear that he's been an abusive presence in her life. But even with all of his problems, she's not ready to let go him. Star magazine reports that Lindsay recently contacted her dad when she found out that a family friend of theirs was sick. An insider told the magazine, "When she heard about the diagnosis, Lindsay had to talk to her dad about it right away, since this person is also a close friend of his. Lindsay asked her assistant to place a call to her dad at the Nassau County jail on Long Island, N.Y., as soon as humanly possible. And she very sternly warned the assistant, 'Don't tell my mom!'"
Lindsay makes her desire to repair her relationship with Michael clear in the liner notes to her new album, A Little More Personal, as well. Gossip blog, Pink is the New Blog, obtained an early release of the album in which Lindsay writes: "DAD - I love you and thank you for being my father. I hope you understand where you may be, that I miss your presence. From me to you ... Get well, and get healthy. For the kids. And your extraordinary wife who's gone through so much."
