Gossip can turn up in the damnedest places, thank goodness! When Paul Rouzen wrote his book "Freud and His Followers" in 1975, the New York Times said that the book was "fueled by gossip." What were those wagging tongues saying about Sigmund Freud?
They said that counter to Freud's emphasis on maintaining objective distance between the analyst and the analysand, Freud analyzed his daughter Anna and worse still, her friend Eva Rosenfeld while Eva lived in Freud's house. We know that Freud used cocaine. So while there's no DNA evidence that he indulged in hanky-panky on the psych couch with Eva, he was a straight man with a penis, and she was a young lady with that thing young ladies have.
Paul Rouzen has died, alas. But his gossip lives on! In its spirit, The Bosh asks you to imagine Freud and Kate Moss, snortin' a few fat lines and getting down to business. (By Scott Rose)
