Our Posts Are Better
Today's New York Post carries an item claiming that legendary society columnist Aileen Mehle, aka Suzy, is retiring. To judge by the Post's article, you'd think Suzy were laying down her pen forever in favor of an endless cycle of spa treatments and late-afternoon cocktail parties. The Bosh, however, does its homework. Far from retiring, Suzy is to assume a new role, writing longer features on society, fashion, Hollywood and other matters for W magazine. While Suzy as a society columnist was largely known for her discretion, which gained her access to Prince Charles, she once called Zsa Zsa Gabor "Miss Chicken Paprika of 1914." Suzy is so glamorous in her own right that she once donated an Yves St.-Laurent dress from her closet to a fashion exhibit of the designer's most chic creations. (By Scott Rose) |
