Even as the gossip world joyfully sniggered over the announcement that Tom Cruise had mysteriously impregnated Katie Holmes, Star reports that Katie's Roman Catholic parents are suffering deepest shame and humiliation. The Bosh does not necessarily think that a young starlette is a total slut for getting pregnant before getting married, but if the TomKat relationship is a publicity stunt, things have certainly gone too far now.
Asked for a comment on the pregnancy in Toledo, Ohio, Katie's dad Martin said "There will be no statement." Sub-text: What Lorena Bobbit did was nothing compared to what I'd like to do to this Scientology trash. Eye-witnesses said that the whole no-comment Holmes clan looked depressed after Katie's out-of-wedlock pregnancy was publicized around the world.
Katie reportedly broke the news to her devastated family by phone from the Beverly Hills mansion where she has been "living in sin" with Cruise. Martin and Kathy Holmes did not even show their faces on Sunday, October 9 for Mass in Toledo's Christ the King Roman Catholic Church. Jesus isn't known to have said much about babies conceived out of wedlock, but one can easily imagine him believing that a woman who would do such a thing deserves to face the depression and resentment of her entire family.
