A reader asked us why we hadn't gossiped more about the semi-disgraced New York Times reporter Judith Miller; here goes. The record shows that Judith was ultra-ambitious as a reporter. Sniffing out weapons of mass destruction as a fast-track to a Pulitzer, she went to town on a sit-down lawnmower, shredding facts as if they were the garden grass and leaving clouds of noxious fumes in passing. Basically, she was a shill for the Bush administration's rush to war in Iraq.
Wagging tongues say that when Judith worked at the Times' Washington office, a car service refused to collect her because of her bitchiness towards the drivers. She also is said to have thrown arched-back hissy fits if she found anything rearranged on her desk. One of her colleagues told New York magazine "She's a shit to the people she works with."
The shit sat in jail, allegedly standing firm for the principle of protecting confidential sources. Yet, as more sordid details of Judith's Machiavellian power machinations have come to light, cynics are wondering if the whole jail routine wasn't a publicity stunt intended to earn Judith a walloping advance for a book on the affair. For having mass destroyed the truth about the situation in Iraq, The Bosh suggests that Judith Miller be sentenced to a de-Pulitzerization; she should be whacked with her little award statue and sent to her cell without dessert.
