According to the New York Post , Paris Hilton and rival Nicole Richie came face to face at an Emmy Awards after-show party bash at Hollywood's Roosevelt Hotel on Sunday night. The split between the popular Simple Life pair started earlier this year when Nicole's weight loss led to her becoming a bombshell in her own right and helped her move out of Paris' shadow. Then, on Feb. 5, when Paris hosted Saturday Night Live, Nicole reportedly held an SNL viewing party during which she jokingly aired 1 Night in Paris "the famous Paris-Rick Salomon sex tape. (Nicole denies this.)
Paris Hilton reportedly stayed on one side of the room with her pals Kimberly Stewart and Mary-Kate Olsen, while Nicole spent the night on the other with 'The O.C.' star Mischa Barton. However, Lindsay Lohan - who has remained friends with both stars - was reportedly forced to keep flitting from one group to the other to keep both Paris and Nicole happy. A witness said: "The whole thing was hysterical."
In April, Paris released a statement announcing she and Nicole were no longer friends and hinted her new best friend, Kimberly Stewart would be a perfect replacement for Nicole on 'The Simple Life' reports UK site Teen Hollywood.
