Pregnant Britney Spears, says she is praying for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

In a posting on her Web site, the 23-year-old pop star writes that her "thoughts and prayers go out to everyone" in the states along the devastated Gulf Coast.

"My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and any other states that might be affected by Hurricane Katrina," wrote Spears. "All of my family members there are safe and thank you to all my fans for your concern."

Spears was in L.A. when the hurricane hit. The popstar grew up in Kentwood, Louisiana, and much of her family still resides there.
