"Tommorow Never Dies" but actors get too old for roles. Pierce Bronson says that when he received a phone call telling him he would no longer be needed as James Bond, it was a "titanic jolt to the system."
Afterwards, though, he claimed to feel as though he had been released from endless idiocy. "It never felt real to me. I never felt I had complete ownership over Bond. Because you have these stupid one-liners--which I loathed--and I always felt phony doing them."
