Lindsay Lohan writes

"Where some people write poetry or short stories, she writes lyrics," Lohan's rep tells People Magazine of the Lindsay's upcoming CD, described as "Lindsay using music to express herself."

In one of the songs, Lohan addresses the issues of having a dysfunctional family. "It's what's gone on with her and her life with her father and family for the last year and a half, and it's kind of her asking her father why he did this,"

"With all this on her shoulders ... she's saying, 'You say you loved us, why are you doing this to us?'"

Tommy Mottola tells PEOPLE: "Lindsay is one of the most talented, creative and intuitive people I've ever met."
