Eddie Murphy , Mariah Carey hook up

Sexy songbird Mariah Carey - in Miami for an appearance at last night's MTV awards reportedly hooked up with funny man Eddie Murphy on Friday night. According to New York Daily News, newly single Murphy, called MIMI (Mariah) on her cell phone ring during her dinner party at the Raleigh Hotel's penthouse, demanding she come over to Prive, where he was hanging out with pals Quincy Jones and Ice T and Coco.

Carey finally showed up at 2:30, looking sexy and relaxed. Both stars immediately started whispering into one another's ears and nuzzling.

They "held hands with her under the table," a spy tells New York Daily News

By 3:30, the pair had slipped out the back door unnoticed. The were holding hands as they slid into the back-seat of a Mercedes, and zipped over to the five-star Hotel Setai.

"They were sitting in the car 15, 20 minutes until nobody was on the street and then they went in together."
