Ashlee Simpson has been letting her sister Jessica hog the lime light over the past few months, but don't expect it to last. The back-to-blonde singer has a new album on the way that will be released in October. "It's all so near, and I have a bunch of songs I really love," she told MTV.com. The sophomore effort from Simpson will be called In Another Life and her first single is entitled, "L.O.V.E." (looks like someone's been inspired by Gwen Stefani). When asked about the single, Ashlee said, "[It's] just about me and my girlfriends going out, not needing a man in our lives." Guess this newfound independence means she won't be spotted out with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Ryan Cabrera, any more.
