Seacrest designs clothing line |

As a country, we chose Kelly Clarkson as our first American Idol. We followed her up with Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino and now Carrie Underwood. Unfortunately, we didn't get to choose the judges or host of the show. Still, the program's success has convinced them all that we love them (or in Simon's case, love to hate them). But does anyone really love Ryan Seacrest? Sure, he's had a hit radio show in Los Angeles for years, but his attempt at national success with the TV show, "On Air" failed. So what makes him think that we idolize him in the same way we supposedly idolize the show's contestants? Whatever it is, Ryan's convinced that he's our newest fashion idol. He's developed a line of clothing (R Line) that he claims was inspired by the women in his life - his mom, sister and ex-girlfriend. And he already has celebrity fans. According to People magazine, Lindsay Lohan, Kelly Ripa, Will Smith, Ryan Cabrera and Kelly Clarkson have all been seen in R Line clothing. Ryan claims his clothes combine "Hollywood, music, pop culture and humor". We're hoping anyone caught wearing R Line has a strong sense of irony intact.
