War of the Worlds Star Tom Cruise is considering legal action against the Channel 4 TV crew who squirted him with a water pistol at Sunday's Leicester Square premiere of War of the Worlds.
"Tom wants to take action but we will decide in due course what that will be. He is not just going to forget about it." A spokeswoman for Cruise said
Channel 4 said : "The water squirting was not intended to cause offense and was very much in a spirit of fun. We hope Tom Cruise will be able to see the joke in the spirit with which it was intended."
There are some stars you squirt with water. Ashton Kutcher yes. Tom Cruise no.

Tom Cruise was answering questions from journalists when the "reporter" held up to Cruise's face a bogus microphone that squirted water. The star struggled to maintain his composure, repeatedly asking one of the Channel 4 team: "Why would you do that?...why would you do that...why would you do that? That's incredibly rude. I'm here giving you an interview and you do that...it's incredibly rude." He added forcibly: "You're a jerk ... you're a jerk."
Four men - said to have been working on a Channel 4 comedy programme - were arrested and later released on police bail. The men, aged 28, 32, 38 and 47, are due to return to a London police station on July 4.
