Times Editors Snub Gays
Front top center of today's New York Times there is an uncommonly large photo of Billy Graham preaching in Flushing. At the bottom of the page in a much smaller photo there is an image from the gay pride march. The Times itself says that 90,000 attended Graham's crusade and that hundreds of thousands attended the gay pride march. Let's consider, for a moment, which of these events deserved more attention. Are Evangelical Christians in a struggle for their rights? Are there places in the country where they are physically beaten for the mere fact of being Evangelicals? A huge part of the struggle for rights for homosexuals is getting those opposed to them to understand, scientifically, that gay people are born gay. The New York Times couldn't take the event of the gay pride march to forcefully make that point? Shame on them. (By Scott Rose) |
