McAdams, Heder and Cruise win MTV Awards

McAdams wins big at MTV Awards

She may not be a big star with mainstream America yet, but Rachel McAdams has won the hearts of the MTV set. She was the big winner at Saturday night's MTV Movie Awards, hosted by Jimmy Fallon. McAdams, star of Mean Girls and The Notebook took home the popcorn statues for Best Breakthrough Female Performance (Mean Girls), Best Kiss (The Notebook) - which she and co-star Ryan Gosling reenacted several times - and best onscreen team (Mean Girls). Jon Heder of Napoleon Dynamite was the other big winner, bringing home popcorn for Breakthrough Male and Best Musical Performance. At 42, Tom Cruise took home a Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by possible fiancee, Katie Holmes. (By Kate Lanahan)
