Father confirms Richie doesn't eat |

Why can't parents ever realize that often when they try to help their kids out, they just end up making things worse? That's what happened when Nicole Richie's dad, Lionel Richie, decided to address the recent media concern that Nicole has been losing too much weight too fast. In just a year, the reality TV star has gone from chubby to stick thin, weighing in at a scant 97 pounds on the Howard Stern Show in February. Many suspect - and recent pictures seem to confirm - that she has lost even more weight since then. As fathers often do, Lionel tried to defend his daughter's honor - and her appearance - when he said, "She does exactly what her father does - when the pressure's on I don't eat and Nicole Richie is just not eating." If Lionel has just exaggerated Nicole's eating habits, he's still given the tabloids a quote fit for a field day. And if it is true, he needs to realize that "not eating" is not safe and is often called anorexia. Open your eyes, man; your daughter's turning into a skeleton.
