Paris's ad crashes site |

Last Thursday, burger chain Carl's Jr. launched their new ad campaign for the Spicy BBQ Burger with Paris Hilton as its spokesmodel. In the ad, she wears a black bathing suit with cut-outs and washes a Bentley. Paris fans were told they could view a 60-second version of the commercial via a special website (http://www.spicyparis.com). Despite the public's claims that it is sick of the heiress, the demand for the Internet-only commercial was so huge that it crashed the website for four hours. Carl's Jr.'s executive vice president of marketing, Brad Haley released a statement about the crash that read, "It was a mixed blessing. It turned out that Paris was too hot for our servers." One group, the Parents Television Council, thinks Paris is too hot for TV.

They're calling the commercial "soft-core porn." If you're not lucky enough to have a Carl's Jr. in your area (and hence not lucky enough to get Paris's latest "porn" on your TV), don't worry. Hardees-predominant districts will start using the same commercial in June.
