Mary-Kate smokes secret cigarettes |

Mary-Kate Olsen, or Margaret as she's said to prefer to be called now, may not be dependent on food for survival, but there's one thing she is hooked on: Marlboro Red cigarettes. The smaller, brunette half of the Dualstar empire was recently caught red-handed with a Red in hand at the Costume Institute Gala on Monday night. Though smoking is prohibited in all public buildings throughout New York City, Mary-Kate's choice of locale for a light up was particularly offensive as the gala took place in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. While at the "social event of the year", she took off for the bathroom where chain-smoked until, "Amanda Peet walked in...and was clearly repulsed," a witness told the New York Daily News. A spokesperson for the Met said, "It's unfortunate that we didn't spot it. There was no security in the bathrooms. I think that's something the museum will have to consider next year." Maybe next year MK won't make the guest list.
