The Miss America Pageant only allowed two-piece bathing suits starting in 1997 and now finds itself in a life-and-death struggle with such television offerings as Pamela Andersons "Stacked." ABC cancelled the traditional program because it was flopping in the ratings; and organizers and participants are swearing that the girls will never get down in the mud and eat bugs a la Fear Factor. But the bottom line seems to be that if they want to be able to competitively revive the show, I say the bottom line is that they have to show more bottoms. (By Scott Rose)
