Heath Ledger is the latest actor to be hit by the current tabloid trend of pregnancy speculation. A report in Sydney Confidential claims that his girlfriend, Michelle Williams (best known for her role as Jen on teen soap, "Dawson's Creek"), has been attending pre-natal yoga classes while she's been staying with Ledger in Sydney. According to the paper, the classes teach "poses and meditation techniques for women in their second and third trimesters of pregnancy." She's also been spied all over town wearing loose-fitting clothes. Williams has been in Australia with her beau since Christmas, which she spent with his family. The couple began dating last summer while filming highly-anticipated gay cowboy movie, Brokeback Mountain together. Heath's relationship with Michelle is a rebound one. He had recently broken up with his girlfriend of two years, Naomi Watts, when they got together. Let's hope for Watts's sake, the pregnancy story is an April Fool's joke as Heath reportedly left her because he wasn't ready to have children. Ooh, burn.

Just as she claimed in the Rolling Stones song she covered, Britney Spears can't get no satisfaction. Her latest rejection comes from the makers of ABC's "Desperate Housewives". It seems that Britney was desperate to make an appearance on the hit night time soap. Unfortunately for the pop star, ABC bosses weren't interested in her - or the numerous other celebrities who wanted cameos on the show. Execs feel that too many cameos would ruin the program. But Britney's reps are persistent. According to the show's star, James Denton, "Her people have been trying to get her on the show but I can promise you that will never happen." Poor Britney, between this and those false tabloids, she's really having a rough time lately. Let's all light a scented Kaballah candle for her.

As many of New York City's gossip hounds suspect her husband, Al Reynolds is gay, Star Jones is likely no stranger to drag queens. Still, she's probably never met one this familiar. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is using Flotilla DeBarge, a 6-foot drag queen, to impersonate Jones in their new campaign against fur. The ad features Flotilla as Jones wearing a wedding dress and white fur coat splashed with blood. It states "A fur on your back is blood in your hands. Take it from "Star Jones": Fur is a Drag." Star is a well-known fur enthusiast and often makes PETA's worst dressed list. PETA planned to unveil the ad today outside the studio of Star's show, "The View." PETA has also targeted Jennifer Lopez recently in their campaign against fur, protesting many of her recent promotional appearances for her new album, "Rebirth".

According to the Italian media, Pope John Paul II has died. He passed a short time ago. He was 84. According to the Vatican he is not dead, just in "grave condition."
This news follows an update we got about noon that the Holy Father had suffered a loss of blood pressure, and then a loss of consciousness. The last official word that we received was that the pope was in his apartment because he wanted to remain at peace at home
The pope's health quickly declined Thursday with a high fever, all triggered by a urinary tract infection. Vatican officials said he suffered momentary heart failure overnight.
"The general conditions and cardio-respiratory conditions of the Holy Father have further worsened," said Vatican spokesman Joaquin Navarro-Valls.
"A gradual worsening of arterial hypotension has been noted, and breathing has become shallow. The clinical picture indicates cardio-circulatory and renal insufficiency. The biological parameters are notably compromised."
Demi Moore was accustomed to receiving lavish presents from husband Bruce Willis, and in the end, it didn't make a damn bit of difference. However, Ashton, whose face and body are a huge present in themselves, has given Demi a little something from Cartier, a diamond-and-emerald bracelet, a museum quality piece retailing for $300,000. Although Brad Pitt put his heart, soul and mind into the renovations of the Normandy-style mansion which Jennifer Joanna Aniston bought for $13.5 million in 2001, Jenn now has it on the block for $30 million and there doesn't seem to be any talk about Brad's getting a cut. The saddest part of the whole Pitt-Aniston bust-up is that we still aren't any closer to knowing what really happened between them, why the relationship soured beyond the point of no return and what were the particular sexual and psychological dissatisfactions that left Jennifer unhappy and unfulfilled.
