After suffering quasi-deadly complications from liposuction in 1999, Kathy Griffin wrote an article called "Lipo Sucks." She declared that she would never again have a cosmetic procedure. In 2003, however, with time marching all over her face, she went under the knife again, receiving a nose job, teeth work, a brow-lift and, yes, yes, more liposuction. She talked all about her beautifying process on the Oprah Winfrey Show. That is a difference between a celebrity and a woman-in-the-street; the woman has to struggle to lose weight, and then once she does so, she still had to go be little miss secretary, or whatever, but the celeb throws money at a liposuctionologist and then gets paid a pretty penny to tell the world how she slimmed down.
