Stonecipher ejected from Boeing

Debra Peabody, a Washington-based Boeing vice-president, was fingered as the company executive with whom married Boeing CEO Harry Stonecipher was having an affair. Four senior execs inside Boeing have identified her reports BusinessWeek. Boeing said Stonecipher's role in the affair violated the company's ethics rules.

According to insiders spilling the beans to BusinessWeek Online, Peabody, 48, is a Boeing vice-president for operations and commercial activities assigned to the company's Washington government-relations office, located in Arlington, Va. She first met Stonecipher in January at Boeing's annual executive retreat at the Mission Hills Country Club in Palm Desert, Calif..

Stonecipher, who is married, was dismissed as CEO by Boeing's board on Mar. 7, after he admitted to the affair. It could not be determined whether Peabody's conduct is also under review by the company. She remains employed by Boeing, and she cooperated with the board in its investigation of the matter, insiders tell BusinessWeek Online.
