Katie Couric A Country Size Queen
Katie Couric grew up in Virginia listening to Patsy Cline and other classic singers of country music and then her late husband Jay Monahan made sure the bug stayed with her by taking her to a Randy Travis concert. As revealed in Country Weekly magazine, Katie is now taking banjo lessons, in part inspired by the Steve Martin quote that you can never be unhappy when playing a banjo. Martin could not be reached for comment on whether the word he really meant to use, in place of banjo, was vibrator; however, country superstar Kenny Chesney confessed to Katie Couric on-air that he's had a crush on her for years. All the ingrate could say was "He looks good without a shirt but I wouldn't want to be with any one whose jeans were smaller than mine." Miss Manners has whole chapters on how to graciously accept a compliment, Katie! Suppose the banjo was on the other shoulder, and Kenny had said something slighting about the way your jeans fit? Ever heard the country western song "My Feet'll Walk This Treadmill (Till My Fat Rear Melts Away)?" (By Scott Rose)
