The Oscars may have been boasting big changes last night, but there were no real surprises this year when it came to the winners. Clint Eastwood's Million Dollar Baby was the hit of the night, as its actors, Hilary Swank and Morgan Freeman were chosen for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor, and Eastwood was given his second award for Best Director. The film about a female boxer and her trainer also took home the highest honor of the night, Best Picture. Martin Scorsese, who some say was slighted in the Director category this year, did not garner many statues for The Aviator, even though it was a top nominee, with 11 nods. It's only big award was for Cate Blanchett, who was given Best Supporting Actress for her uncanny portrayal of Katharine Hepburn. Rounding out the acting awards was Jamie Foxx, who was given Best Actor for his role as Ray Charles in Ray. He gave one the night's most touching speeches, honoring his grandmother.
