Javier Bardem, star of "The Sea Inside," is being sued by former model, Jill Marshall, who says the Spanish actor hit her in the face while drunk and dancing at a New York nightclub, her lawyer said on Friday. Attorney Sanford Rubenstein said his client Jill Marshall had suffered a broken nose and would require surgery because she still has breathing problems since the incident in the early hours of Dec. 10. Bardem's attorney Martin Singer said Marshall had approached the actor to dance with him several times at the nightclub party to celebrate the launch of his new film, but he initially rebuffed her. "He is an excellent dancer. I'm not going to comment on the woman's dancing abilities. However, to the extent the woman was injured while she was dancing, it was caused by her own conduct," Singer said. Marshall is seeking unspecified damages for the injury and distress caused.
