Jackie Collins long ago appears to have realized that writing about serious matters doesn't earn the big money. 400 million copies of her steam and gasp novels have been sold, and to thank her long-time publisher, Simon & Schuster, Jackie is switching to St. Marten's Press, which offered her seven figures for "Lovers and Players," a "saga" that tells of an LA family with billionaires and bi-racial beauties.
Talking about an appearance on the Tony Danza show, when a skit was played out making fun of her, Jackie says "I don't mind sending myself up when it's with a friend."
But of course not, Jackie darling. If it weren't a friend sending you up, they'd make bitingly sarcastic observations regarding your foibles and foolishness; if you have any, that is.
