Bosh readers by now know that former Screw magazine publisher Al Goldstein, who had fallen on hard times, got fired from his job as a greeter at the Second Avenue Deli. The good news is that the pastrami is still tender and delicious there. True though it may be that Al had a mansion in Pompano Beach with an eleven-foot statue of a raised middle finger in the backyard,it is also true that with his publication as well as his classic cable show "Midnight Blue" he paved new paths for people who want uninhibited sexual entertainment on a regular basis to have it available. Three-hundred some odd years of puritanical behavior in this country should not limit the freedoms of those who are not themselves Puritans. Sure, Al ought to have stayed awake to keep his job in the Second Avenue Deli, but we should salute him for his contributions to American culture.
